Standardized Forms
for Commenting on
Public Transit
When someone experiences a trip on public transit or paratransit that is either very good or very bad, the transit agency needs to know so they can either thank the personnel involved or work with them to improve service. The question is, “What to share?”
To make it easy, we have created simple forms that you can use to document virtually any transit experience. These forms are designed to be accessible for people using assistive technology, but if you run into problems, let us know with an email to Connect@AccessibleAvenue.net.
Service Animal Policies
that Affirm Civil Rights and Protect Against Fraud
The Americans with Disabilities Act, and most state laws, guarantee the rights of people with disabilities to travel with service animals. However, there is a great deal of confusion around how a service animal is defined, what transportation providers and other businesses can say and do to ensure that the animals their customers are bringing are legitimate service animals, and about what business owners can do when an alleged service animal acts inappropriately, causes damage or threatens the safety of other people.
The first line of defense is a good comprehensive service animal policy, and we’ve got you covered. Download your free copy of Service Animal Policies that Affirm Civil Rights and Protect Against Fraud. Take a powerful step toward creating an environment that is welcoming for people with legitimate service animals and where your employees are better equipped to resolve the occasional challenges that come up when other people want to bring their pets and other animals along for the ride.
